The symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a NEW PERSISTENT COUGH
  • and/or FEVER
  • and/or loss of smell and/or taste

The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu and it does not necessarily mean you have the illness.

DO NOT GO TO YOUR GP SURGERY, PHARMACY OR HOSPITAL

Stay at home and self-isolate for 7 days.  

If symptoms get any worse or do not improve after 7 days either phone the surgery or

For Buckland Medical Centre

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we would like to make all our patients at Buckland Medical Centre aware from Thursday 26th March 2020 we will be diverting all our service from Buckland Medical Centre to our other two Surgeries.

There is limited access into the surgery, to protect our patients and staff

We thank you for your patience and understanding

We are taking on New Patients - please ring the Bell if you require assistance.

All doctor consultations will continue to be telephone consultations only.  Any patient whom the doctor feels needs to have a face to face consultation the patient will be asked to attend Peter Street Surgery.

All routine Nurse and HCA Appointments will be cancelled only essential services and urgent requests from the Doctors will be carried out at Peter Street Surgery.

Prescriptions - to avoid unnecessary travel/attendance to the surgery ALL patients will be asked to nominate a Chemist of their choice.  Prescriptions will be sent to the nominated chemist electronically for collection (within the usual time frame - 48 hrs).

Our staff will continue to do their very best to help and support all our patients and we ask for your understanding if things may take a little longer or not run as smoothly as usual

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause but unfortunately with Doctors and Staff having to self-isolate we have had no alternative and we ask for your understanding during this very difficult time.

For Tara Patients

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we have had to make the decision to divert all our Services from Buckland Medical Centre to our other 2 Surgeries.

All Doctor’s consultation will continue as telephone consultations.  Should the doctor wish for a patient to be seen face to face on:

Monday and Friday this will be at Tara Surgery.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday patients will be asked to go to Peter Street Surgery.

All routine Nurse and HCA Appointments will be cancelled only essential services and urgent requests from the Doctors will continue to be carried out at Tara.

Our staff will continue to do their very best to help and support all our patients and we ask for your understanding if things may take a little longer or not run as smoothly as usual

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause but unfortunately with Doctors and Staff having to self-isolate we have had no alternative and we ask for your understanding during this very difficult time.

We are restricting admittance into the surgery, to protect our patients and staff, please ring the door bell provided
